On long winter evenings in the Carpathians, women sat down at their looms, and thread by thread something warm took shape: a lizhnyk (a traditional woollen blanket), a shawl, a wrap. That warmth was made of simple things: wool, hands and time. This scarf continues that tradition. It is large and soft, like the lizhnyk people wrapped themselves in by the stove as cold mist settled outside. The fringe along its edge is like the threads left on the loom when the work is taken off: a little loose, a little careless, alive.
